Develop careers

The Careers Pathway prepares rangatahi for the real world — helping them turn their strengths, passions, and purpose into tangible opportunities. It builds confidence in communication, professionalism, and self-presentation while introducing practical industry skills and work experience.

The first two modules are core to all students, creating a strong personal foundation. The final three modules are customised to each learner’s journey, allowing rangatahi to explore industries and pathways that suit their interests and future goals.

Each completed module earns a TOA Careers Milestone — a badge, certificate, or useful item symbolising readiness, professionalism, and pride. Completing the full pathway leads to a Careers Pathway Certificate of Achievement and opportunities for continued employment, training, or enterprise.
